ABC had the top broadcast last night during the VP debate, with 13,130,000 Total Viewers. ABC edged NBC, which had 12,820,000. CBS had 11,100,000.

FNC was the top cable network, coming in at a network-record 11,098,000.

This was ABC’s highest rated VP debate since 1992. But as a whole, the ratings shatter the top-rated VP debate of all time, in 1984, which had 56.7 million total viewers.

This debate had more than 71 million total viewers, enough to be the second highest rated debate ever (behind 1980).

In post-debate analysis, FNC was #1, followed by ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC.
